This week has been so exciting! My room mate and I signed our lease for our very first real APARTMENT. It is the most perfect place, right in the centre of downtown near school and near places to go out. I am already deciding how to decorate it, and planning fun parties to have! I also won a tea give away, which, if you know me, is possibly the best thing that could ever happen.

In other news, I am headed off to Europe in 2 days! So some fun posts should be coming up :) What is everyone up to this week? And Happy Valentines Day! Hope it is great!

{the makers}

The Makers is a project I have really been enjoying lately. It is a photo project based in Brooklyn where Jennifer Causey photographs artisans. It is so neat seeing people do what they love. You really get a sense of who "The Maker" is and get to learn about their craft. Check out her website to learn more!

You can find anything from designers to cupcake makers to perfume makers on this site. I would definitely recommend checking it out for inspiration! Hope you all have a great Sunday :)

{nostalgia on saturday mornings}

In preparation for my big trip coming up, I have been reminiscing past trips and boy do I miss this lovely place and all of the wonderful people I met down here. It is such a magical country full of beautiful landscapes and people even more beautiful. I have had the travel bug quite a bit lately! I mean, it never really goes away but sometimes it is quieter than others :) Can't wait to head off the the Mediterranean with my parents!

{friday senses}

Just some recent pictures of food I have been eating. My week has consisted of non-stop studying, babysitting and going to school, so the only pictures I have are of food. Not such an awful thing to take pictures of.

I just found a new blog (one of my favourites now, actually!) and she does a weekly post where she uses senses to describe her week. I thought this was such a creative idea, so i decided to use it for myself! So here it goes:

seeing: lots and lots of textbooks about Developing Countries and the lack of snow around montreal

tasting: fresh fruits and vegetables from Atwater Market

hearing: Carry Me- Jenny and Tyler

touching: my yoga mat to wind down from stressful days

smelling: not much of anything since my nose is completely stopped up

{last weekend}

My weekend consisted of late brunches, a lot of yoga, and some reading. Heavenly to say the least. If only every weekend could be so relaxing. What did you all do?

And sorry, no recipe with this because i cheated and used a bag. But you should try out this kind because it is wonderful! I did add the blueberries though, had to spice it up a bit!

What happens when you live with another photo lover (and someone who is excellent at photoshop may I add)....impromptu i don't want to do work photoshoots. So here we go for my first outfit post of the new year!

{i am alive}

Yet another generic "sorry for the lack of posting" blog. But really, I have now even received an email from my mom saying she missed my blog. HOW DO YOU SAY NO TO YOUR MOM? So here I am. I am sure I have tons to catch you up on! My travels home for Christmas, my birthday, Igloofest, Madmen Party, friends and life in general to name a few. But, as for now, I am going to leave you with a nice tune for whatever you may be up to this beautiful Friday evening. Personally, I am procrastinating my studies with a cup of tea and some 8tracks playlists. Friday nights don't get much better than this.
