Record Store Day.

Today was Record Store Day. Pretty much one of the best days of the year. Of course, I had to celebrate this wonderful day full of releases and re-releases. And how was this celebrating done you ask? By heading down to my favorite local record stores, Black Dog Records and Sound Exchange. If you live in the area, I would definitely check them out! I bought Piper at The Gates of Dawn (Pink Floyd), The King of Limbs (Radiohead), and In the Aeroplane over the Sea (Neutral Milk Hotel). I am a huge, huge Pink Floyd fan so I am trying to get the whole collection on vinyl because that was the intended way to listen to music I believe. Along with the records I bought, I received some free demo CD's and posters and stickers! All and all Record Store Day is grand.

I can't wait until next year when I can tromp through the snow in Montreal seeking out the best record stores in my new city!

Other than the record store excitement, my friends and I gallivanted around Houston and found these artist studios where an artist was creating bust of all of the presidents. Not small bust either. HUGE HUGE HUGE BUST. There were also huge statues of The Beatles at the studio. I thought they went well with the theme of the day. Then we ate snow cones and went home. Now I am relaxing, listening to Spacemen 3 and blogging :) How was everyone else's Record Store Day? Anything exciting?
