The Great City of Montreal

also known as my future home, well for the next 4 years at least. My family and I went on vacation to the grand old city to get a good feel for it and pick out my dorm room! eep. yes, my dorm room. I am a true college kid. well almost (i do have an email also).
Montreal is such a beautiful city. It has the big city feel with the small town charm. or at least thats how i look at it. You can be in the city with the hustles and bustles of people, and then hop on a subway and be in Old Montreal which feels like your average old town. Then you can walk to the pier and look over the river, then hop on a bus and it will take you up to Mont Royal.
It has the best of both (or four) worlds.

As you can tell i highly suggest visiting. And if your up there next year send me and email!

Tonight I finished getting all my immigration papers together so they will be sent off tomorrow and i will be on my way to getting a visa! o boy its all so exciting.

now all i have to do it get through high school, we seems to get harder everyday. everyone tells me to enjoy the ride and such but seriously it is so much harder than you would think. i am just too excited.

i'm back!

i haven't died! still alive as ever :) i have some exciting post about spring break coming your way!

{we went to be ironic}

last night was my senior year sadie. i was not going to go due to the fact that i don't really dancehave no school spirt what-so-ever but at about 6 last night my friends, sam and john, texted me and my friend camille and were like hey lets all go. so we decided to go. Sadies is a dance where the girls are supposed to ask the guys and then you go get matching clothes and such but we didn't really have time for that,m so we came up with the idea of being "ironic hipsters". It was so fun! I went over to camille's house and we hipsterized ourselves. the sad part, we used our own clothes. after, we met up with the guys and headed to the dance. it was definately the best time i have had a dance ever probs. After dancing ourselves tired, we headed to ihop to end the night. all and all it was really fun and i'm glad i was convinced to go :) Thanks Sam and John!
I think these are the nights i will remember about high school which makes me very pleased :)
i shall miss these grand people next year.

{of music and movies}

today is a lazy day. i worked out this morning and plan on spending the rest of the day around the house. my grandparents came in today so i will be spending some time with them also :) that will be fun. i'm starting a 365 project (again, but shh don't tell). i really want to improve my photography and editing skills which is my goal through this project. you can head over to my flickr to check it out. it has only been two days but i have taken a new picture both of them. way more impressive than last time. haha. other than that i haven't been up to much. i am trying to work on my French for next year/ next week. I should be getting Rosetta Stone soon which is really exciting! How is everyone doing? Have a great Saturday!

{i'll miss them}

even though we disagree and argue sometimes, i will miss my parents next year. i am so grateful that God placed me in my family. No matter what i do, i always know that my parents love me and want the best for me. they are the best role models anyone could ever ask for. always leading me in the way of the Lord and always there when i need to talk.
i love you mom and dad.

{finally editing}

i have finally gotten around to editing a few of my photos from Europe way back in the summer. it is making me miss Europe so much. I got to go on this amazing trip through People to People where i got to travel to England, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland. We also passed through Luxembourg and Austria (I count them as countries i have been to :). Anyways, the reason i am just now editing them you may ask? First, I am a procrastinator and did not want to go through thousands of photos and second, we just got CS5 which is way better than photoshop elements. But here are a few of my favorites.
P.S. i am saving up for a new camera. eep! excited.

{immigration}

and the immigration process begins! i got my official college email and have been talking to some of my future classmates about signing up for housing! its all happening :) i have been waiting for this for 4 years! so happy! if you want to email my new "college kid" email just let me know! i have started filling out the quebec immigration forms, i am a pilgrim. but the nice thing about being american is i do not need a health assessment and i do not have to apply for my student visa early, i just get it at the airport when i arrive!
but other than this my life is the same as always! hope everyone is doing well :) i would love to hear from you!

{free pancake day fail}

well today was the true beginning of all senior festivies! this makes me look forward to school a little more knowing that we are treated special! today we got late arrival because underclassmen had to take TAKS (a standerized test we have to take in Texas). Junior year is the exit level and you can not graduate without taking it! but anyways... we got to sleep in until 11:35 or thats when we had to be at school :) Today was also free pancake day at Ihop. So me and several friends arrive at Ihop awaiting our free pancakes and guess what. IT ENDS AT 10. We had a 20 min wait and it was 9:50. So lame. But we decided to go to Denny's to get pancakes and still had an awesome time enjoying our delicious breakfast. Yay senior year! Pictures will be coming soon, but i took them all on my film camera (hopefully the do not get ruined).

Sorry for the lack of post, my new work schedule is tough but as school slows down i will be coming back!
